Git internals explained with construction toys

Following the recommendation of Joey Hess, who gave a talk (direct link to mp4 file, 61MB) there too on git annex (which I will cover in a later blogpost), I just watched probably the best explanation of how git works, mostly explained with children construction toys, given at the Linux.conf.au 2013 by Michael Schwern.

(The talk is not yet on youtube, hence I’m sourcing their mirror site directly, which may be quite slow. As soon there is a more performant source, I’ll update this post.)
